For category 3 queries, BS 5975-1:2024 clause 12.8.6 states that the TWDC should confirm
the queries have been resolved and that the designer has revised the design outputs before a
temporary works design certificate is issued.
4.4.12
The following is an extract from a temporary works design certificate example indicating
possible outcomes following the design checking process. A temporary works design certificate
should be issued by the TWDC to the relevant TWC once they are satisfied the design meets
the requirements of the design brief, and any queries if any have been resolved.
Once
issued,
the
design
becomes a certified design
4.4.13
BS 5975-1:2024 does not provide any template documents. A temporary works design
certificate template is available to download from https://mytemporary.works. All documents
can be developed for company use.
