3.5 The temporary works register
3.5.1
BS 5975-1:2024 clause 5.2 provides commentary on the purpose of the temporary works
register.
3.5.2
BS 5975-1:2024 clause 5.2.3 provides a checklist of what the temporary works register should
include. This shows a list of the minimum requirements and could be adapted to suit the principal
contractors’ procedures, identifying what is needed, and the actions and verification checks
required by all parties at relevant phases or stages.
3.5.3
The temporary works register example below shows the three (3) phases and associated seven
(7) stages for safely executing temporary works described in Topic 3.3.
